After a wild trade deadline, teams are starting to settle into what will likely be their roster for a postseason push. One of the biggest moves yesterday came from the Yankees, who tried to patch up their depleted bullpen by adding three top-tier relievers.

What happened next… you couldn’t script it. Seriously. It was that insane. I almost don’t even want to spoil it but incase you haven’t seen the game, go watch the full recap here and don’t scroll down until you’re ready:

I can honestly say I’ve never seen any game like this. It honestly has to be the game of the year and one of the biggest meltdowns of all time. The fact that all 3 new bullpen arms imploded in the same game is just unreal. I am not sure how you recoever from this.

Kyle Stowers is going to be a star in the league. The grandslam he hit was insane. Then, to have Volpe show up finally and have the game he did was unreal. The Yankees are arguably in emotional rock bottom state. What a disaster of a loss.

What do you all think about the Yankees post deadline? Send me a quick reply, I would love to hear some unique thoughts.

For my favorite thing from Friday, you have to see the entrance for the Phillies’ new closer, Jhoan Duran. I honestly don’t know how anyone steps into the box after that. Just straight fire.

Have a great weekend!

📊 Final Scores and Highlights

Marlins 13, Yankees 12

In one of the wildest games of the season, the Marlins erased multiple deficits and stunned the Yankees with a dramatic walk-off, capping a 13-12 victory that marked their MLB-best 27th comeback win. Down by six in the fifth, five in the seventh, and two in the ninth, Miami’s relentless offense — powered by Javier Sanoja, Kyle Stowers, and Agustín Ramírez — refused to go quietly and handed New York its first road loss when scoring 12+ runs since 1940.

🔑 Key Moments

  • Down 6-0 in the 5th, Javier Sanoja got Miami on the board with a two-run homer to right, and Liam Hicks delivered a two-run single off Carlos Rodón to cut it to 6-4.

  • Trailing 9-4 in the 7th, Kyle Stowers launched a grand slam off Jake Bird — his second of the year — that barely cleared Jasson Domínguez’s glove. Two batters later, Sanoja tied it with his second homer of the night.

  • Jakob Marsee doubled for his first MLB hit, Xavier Edwards followed with a single, and Ramírez gave Miami a 10-9 lead with an RBI single to left.

  • The Yankees responded with a Volpe homer in the 8th and two more runs in the 9th to take a 12-11 lead, setting up yet another Marlins rally.

  • In the bottom of the 9th, Sanoja singled, Marsee walked, and Edwards' single tied the game after a Caballero error — putting the winning run on third. Moments later, Ramírez chopped one in front of the plate, and Edwards sprinted home on contact to score the walk-off winner.

Boston’s fourth walk-off in green City Connects pushed them to a season-best 9 games over .500 and silenced doubts about their postseason push.
