Mets 4, Diamondbacks 3 — Mauricio walks it off in first at-bat of season
The Mets didn’t have many big swings all night, but they kept hanging around and found their moment late.
After building a 2-0 lead early, New York gave it back in the fifth when Arizona pushed across three runs to take control. The Mets answered in the eighth with Brett Baty and Jared Young each driving in a run on sacrifice flies to tie it back up.
That set the stage for the 10th, when Francisco Lindor moved to third on a groundout and Ronny Mauricio came off the bench for his first plate appearance of the season. After falling behind 0-2, Mauricio ripped a ball off the right-field wall to bring home the winning run and seal a walk-off win in his first game back in the majors.

After falling behind 3-1 early thanks to a pair of extra-base hits from the Athletics, New York chipped away late. A seventh-inning double from Austin Wells sparked some life, and in the eighth, Giancarlo Stanton delivered an RBI single to pull the Yankees within one.
Then came the turning point. With runners on, Rosario crushed a three-run homer to left, flipping the game and giving New York a 5-3 lead they wouldn’t give back.

Cardinals 7, Nationals 6 (10) — Walker stays hot as Cards rally late in extras
The Cardinals looked dead in the water late until their young core flipped the game.
Trailing 5-2 entering the seventh, Jordan Walker got things started with a solo shot to cut the deficit. An inning later, Nathan Church came off the bench and delivered the biggest swing of the night, launching a game-tying two-run homer to erase the lead.
That sent things to extras, where St. Louis kept the pressure on. Thomas Saggese ripped a go-ahead RBI double in the 10th, and JJ Wetherholt followed with another double to tack on an insurance run.
The bullpen handled the rest, locking down a comeback win for the Cardinals.
