What a wild day of baseball Wednesday gave us. I wish I could dive into every single game, but I’ve only got so much space here.

A few storylines that didn’t make the cut…. the Tigers got swept by the Pirates in a surprising three-game set. The Astros swept the D-backs and are now tied for the AL lead in wins. The Rangers swept the A’s to keep pressure on the division. And the White Sox took two of three from the Rays, who had been playing really well. I must say the young White Sox core is showing some real promise. Colson Montgomery and Kyle Teel both look like they could be legit.

Today’s edition is loaded with great moments from around the league. The MUST WATCH game from Wednesday had to be Red Sox vs Phillies. It was a wild, back-and-forth battle between two tough, gritty teams. I’ve linked the slightly longer/more in depth recap below so you can catch the entire story.

Boston erased a 5-run deficit, survived five Phillies homers, and rode a Carlos Narváez go-ahead shot in the 11th to escape with a thrilling 9-8 win in extras.

🔑 Key Moments

  • The game exploded early when Schwarber and Harper crushed back-to-back homers off Lucas Giolito in the 1st, stunning the Red Sox and setting a dominant tone for Philly.

  • With Boston still hitless in the 5th, a routine foul popup behind the plate dropped untouched — and that crack in the door was all the Sox needed to charge through.

  • Trevor Story gave Boston new life in the 10th, driving in Duran with a clutch RBI double — but once again, Schwarber answered with a game-tying single in the bottom half.
