On a charged Canada Day afternoon, George Springer stole the show at Rogers Centre with one of the most dominant performances of his career. His two homers, including a grand slam, led the Blue Jays to a 12–5 victory and pulled Toronto within a game of New York in the AL East.

Andrés Giménez, breaking out of a slump, crushed a three-run homer in the 4th
Toronto bounced back multiple times, erasing a 2–0 and later a 4–4 tie, including surviving early defensive miscues that threatened to stall momentum.
Kevin Gausman labored through five innings but kept the Jays in the game, and the bullpen handled the rest with only one earned run allowed across four innings.
