What a Saturday of baseball!
The Brewers became the first team to officially punch their ticket to October, pulling off a come-from-behind thriller in extras. They rallied for five runs in the 8th and 9th innings to steal the win. What a game and way to clinch another postseason berth.
Meanwhile, the NL Wild Card race stays pure chaos. All three of the Mets, Giants, and Reds lost, which opened the door for the Diamondbacks to creep back in and keep their faint playoff hopes alive.
As it stands now, the Mets are in serious trouble… losers of eight straight and spiraling out of contention. The Giants got smoked after their thriller the night before, and the Reds can’t seem to get past the A’s this weekend.
I have no clue how this will all shake out, but one thing’s certain… the Wild Card race is must-watch baseball as we hit the stretch run.
Enjoy your Sunday!
