What a Tuesday across MLB. We had some wild games, starting with Guardians vs. Red Sox. If you missed it, do yourself a favor and watch the highlights here:
It still blows my mind that the Nationals DFA’d Nate Lowe, and now he’s become a centerpiece for Boston’s lineup. The only sour note: Roman Anthony left the game grabbing at his back and side after a strikeout. He’s dealt with a back injury earlier this season, and while we should know more later today, his postgame comments weren’t encouraging. He admitted it feels worse than his previous injury.
Around the league, things got heated during Yankees vs. Astros.
Speculation will swirl, but judging by the reaction from both Framber Valdez and catcher Salazar, it sure looked intentional. If it was on purpose, total scumbag move. There’s never an excuse to intentionally try to hurt a fellow teammate.
And lastly, how about the Giants? They stay hot while Rafael Devers quietly puts together a career year. Check out this bomb he hit which also sparked a bench-clearing brawl with Kyle Freeland on the mound.
📊 Final Scores and Highlights
Red Sox 11, Guardians 7
